Triptyque proudly presents its latest project in the Olympic and Paralympic Village in Saint-Denis, Paris. Designed to accommodate 450 athletes from the United States during the 2024 Summer Games, the Universeine building is a pioneering example of sustainable urban development and adaptable architecture. After the Games, the project will be transformed into social housing, part of a new and vibrant neighborhood in the rapidly evolving district around the Cité du Cinéma.

In this project, that chaixetmorel. realized together with real estate developer VINCI Immobilier, it was necessary to master the balancing act between preserving the existing building, creating suitable accommodation for the athletes, and then continuing to use it as offices for a ministry long after the athletes had left. Chaixetmorel. built a contemporary, innovative, and modern ensemble on an area of around 68,000m2 that houses apartments as well as service, training, and storage facilities. The architects succeeded in integrating the architecturally exciting industrial buildings from the beginning of the 20th century (the Maxwell Hall) and its engineering building (the Copernic Pavilion) into the new use. The campus is structured around them, along a strong east-west axis that forms the heart of the new site. A timber hybrid construction method was used for the new buildings. Many existing materials were reused on site (e.g. demolition concrete in the wire ballast boxes of the new plinth zone) or were taken from demolished buildings elsewhere and given a new life cycle (e.g. raised floors in the office areas). The CO2 footprint was already reduced by around 40% compared to similar projects during construction and will also result in significantly lower energy consumption during future use - first as an Olympic village and later as office space.

Roland-Garros is a legendary international tournament, a sports event with worldwide media coverage that welcomes more than 400,000 visitors during the competition fortnight. The objective is to remodel the entire existing Roland-Garros stadium (the historic triangle operation) and in particular the construction of a new public relations ‘Village’.

The ThyssenKrupp Quarter consists of a cluster of individual buildings embedded in a green, tree- studded carpet. Linked by short paths and small squares, the buildings line a central ordering axis comprising a large water basin and the “Avenue of the Worlds”. In addition to this general development plan, the TKQ architect consortium JSWD Architekten and Chaix & Morel paid particular attention to the architectural consistency of the individual buildings. The aim was to create a quarter with a compact and homogeneous architectural appearance conveying a strong sense of unity. The campus is dominated by intricate facade structures of metal and glass.

Announcing its return to Essen, the principal, ThyssenKrupp AG, clearly turns its attention to the region where the technology giant has its roots. The company continues to write its history on the grounds of the former Fried. Krupp cast iron factory from 1811. Typologically, the new quarter follows the idea of campus architecture, an ensemble of various individual buildings on a “green carpet” with trees, connecting paths and small squares. Expectations were focused on a structure that would flexibly react to changes within the company. The Q1 building is the readily noticeable accent at the centre of the structure-providing main water axis.

The „Miniapolis“ day care centre at the ThyssenKrupp Quarter has capacity for approx. 100 children in mixed age groups. The technical appeal of the building follows the requirements of education- focused "Reggio Pedagogy". In addition to promoting scientific and technical affinity this concept focuses on education in mathematical thinking, music, language and exercise. The centre point of the building features a two-storey "piazza". This village centre is surrounded by the six group rooms.
