The site is separated from Lake Paranoá by a 250-meter-wide strip occupied by roads and low-rise waterfront buildings. The revitalization and expansion of the Norwegian Embassy comprised a series of actions across several levels, outlined and illustrated below. A commitment to rational energy use defined integrated design strategies between the architecture and other engineering specialties, making the Embassy the first Norwegian international representation to be NetZero certified.
