A former storage shed, located in the Byron Bay Arts and Industry Estate, has been reimagined by Benn + Penna as a workplace in a gallery, fusing work and life.

Colo Crossings intersects landscape and shelter in the pursuit of retreat. Located 100 kilometers north-west of Sydney’s CBD, and sitting atop a steep slope above the Colo River, the private abode recesses into its setting alongside its occupants' withdrawal from the city in a rural effortlessness, with containment and refinement perched atop an unforgiving landscape. ‘Isolation’ takes on a new meaning as a celebration of one's surroundings.

Dulwich Hill Vaults is alterations and additions to an existing freestanding cottage in Sydney’s inner west. The project retains the existing house and introduces new living spaces in a structure to the rear directly connected to the garden.

Roseville Pavilions House / Benn + Penna Architecture

Roseville Pavilions is an alterations and additions to a freestanding house in Sydney’s north. The project is a renovation to the existing house, with additional garden room and updated landscaping. The project site slopes down from the entry level to the garden by a whole floor. The brief called for a more seamless connection between the entry level - which contains main living, kitchen and dining spaces – to the low level rear garden.
