The proliferation of villas on Tehran's outskirts reflects more than a desire to escape the city's clamor and density. These homes embody a spirited pursuit of leisure and conviviality. The dynamic interplay of indoor and outdoor spaces, coupled with a playful exploration of different design eras, creates an atmosphere of intrigue and vitality. These villas are stages for the celebration of life, where residents and guests alike can wander, discover, and immerse themselves in a world of endless fascination. Spaces that offer a heightened incentive to stimulate the taste and curiosity of their subjects, where the unexpected leaves a special sensory quality in the mind of the viewer. The play of solid and void volumes, diverse paths, and stairways, not only strengthens the permeability of spaces but also offers a potential opportunity for viewers to climb over the building and become one with the fluidity of the spaces as their memories evolve.

Sangdeh Villa / AsNow Design & Construct

In the design of the Sangde Villa, we faced a two-story building on topography with a beautiful view, which was about 7 meters above the street level. The client requested an expansion of the existing building while minimizing any obstruction to the stunning view. This expansion formed the design concept to include an elevator, covered parking, and a janitor's suite. The expansion began at street level; in this new situation, we encountered a four-story building that looked out of place in the area. To address the project’s disproportionality, the building was placed on a solid stone base in harmony with its surroundings.

Koohsar villa project is located in a pleasant area around Alborz Providence, Iran. The total area of the land is 1400 square meters and the total infrastructure of the building is 470 square meters. The first floor includes public spaces that, with detailed design in the depth of the plan, on one hand, makes the connection to the pool and Jacuzzi space, possible and on the other hand, it includes the stairs connecting to the second floor.
