São Paulo, 2020 – This 74-square-meter (approx. 797-square-foot) apartment in Vila Olímpia, São Paulo, had just undergone a renovation that failed to please the couple who had recently invested in the space. Consequently, the property received a new design by the firm As Arquitetas SP, led by Luciana Gomes and Michelle Waisblut. Their challenge was to find new solutions while keeping existing pieces in the apartment—such as the sofas, countertops, and kitchen cabinets—and to execute all changes without any demolition and within a short timeframe (the construction lasted 3 months). The proposal also aimed to bring more warmth and optimization to the environments, while showcasing the couple's art collection, as they are passionate about graffiti.
