The private residence on Lilla Rågholmen used the free plan as a reference - a flexible floor plan, open facades, exposed structure, and horizontal openings – which enabled the program to be organized by the position of the sun, the angle of the views, and the request for privacy. Located on a private island in the Stockholm archipelago, the site context creates a building viewed in the round.

Atelier Lapidus was conceived as a summer house for a writer and his family. The design process began with vignettes – a small structure placed in a forest, open facades connecting interior and exterior space, a pool as a lake, a writing desk facing the evening sun. The decision to create a clear and minimal structure allowed the life inside the building to be unobstructed and untethered.

The site at Brunstorp, sitting just outside the city of Jönköping, tested the challenges facing the Swedish building industry. Restricted by the local market, in a sparsely populated area, was the opportunity to design 90 housing units. The fundamental task was to create cost-effective housing at a high standard of living.

The plot just outside Stockholm is located in a scenic area where mostly weekend homes are inserted among pine trees and rocks.
Six Walls House became early in the process a working title. The plot is long and narrow and extends between the road and the water. Perhaps as a contrast to the context, we wanted to build the house around a robust and clear material and concrete blocks with cement plaster became an important part. Simple geometry and detailing have been essential in order to build the house within a tight budget.
