The project is located near the Ermita de Santa Isabel Church in the San Sebastián district in Mérida Yucatán. it is a renovation of an abandoned building, transformed into an ideal space for couples who want to live in Mérida, in an iconic neighbourhood of the historic center.

Casa Mejorada Pavilion / Arista Cero

Located in the Mejorada neighbourhood in the historic centre of the city of Mérida, the project transforms an unused patio into a leisure pavilion. The proposal seeks to respect the pre-existing and to build only what is essential to generate greater amplitude in the space. The tour begins through a traditional hallway typical to many properties in the historic centre, alongside the hallway three steps above, we find the pool, finished with a stone wall that blends with the existing masonry sidewalls.

Casa Vagantes / Arista Cero + Gina Góngora

An intervention of an existing building to accommodate travellers visiting Mérida, Yucatán. The work is located 150m from one of the main avenues "Paseo Montejo" and very close to the historic centre of the city. The architectural response seeks to restore and to leave evidence of the passage of time affecting the building. The impression of time is preserved by scraping the walls in order to show the different colours they have gone through, by preserving the oxides of the metalworks and by recycling and recovering doors and windows.

Tribu Apartments / Arista Cero

Tribu is a set of 21 apartments located within the Luum Zamá complex in the Tulum jungle, Quintana Roo. The project seeks to respect and adapt to the natural context as well as to generate an interior-exterior connection in a precise manner. The proposal is developed in four towers that are integrated into the terrain and organized around a central courtyard, which functions as a transition from public areas to private areas. This arrangement of volumes allowed us to house all units and respect 50% of the vegetation of the plot.

Country House / Arista Cero

A leisure home designed in a single level to accommodate a retired couple and their guests. The house was built on a regular 20m x 20m lot located in a golf club in the city of Mérida. The architectural solution of a single level was an important decision that allowed to obtain an additional 10% of land occupation (COS) and take advantage of the native trees that already grew on the site. With the idea of compacting what was built and meeting the particular request to optimize the house for the user, a module of 17m x 14m was designed, forming a piece of 238 m2.
