The house featured wine presses and a cellar, an oil mill, and a large silkworm rearing room (andana) destined for sericulture. Attached to the Masia were various economic dependencies, such as the now-demolished lateral pavilions, of which only the south-facing ground-floor walls and the chapel remain. At the end of 2017, the Montserrat City Council acquired the complex, which had been abandoned since 2004, with the aim of rehabilitating and expanding it. The ideas competition launched for the project proposed restoring the Masia to serve as the town hall and reconstructing the lateral wings to house the new headquarters of the Montserrat City Council, as well as designing the front and rear gardens.
