At the time, Matarazzo commissioned an architectural project, intending to move into the property with his wife. Following their divorce, the project was halted, leaving only the landscaping by Burle Marx on the site. Years later, the gardens were transformed into a municipal park, and the area where the Palácio Tangará stands began to be revitalized.
