This project in Llinars del Vallès involved designing and constructing a single-family house on a well-oriented plot but with compromised privacy. Through a simple design strategy and a bioclimatic approach, Casa LA offers a sheltered atmosphere for daily life, increasing the comfort of its inhabitants and reducing energy consumption. The house's layout is organized around a central fireplace and four brick volumes. These compact ceramic boxes are strategically located at the ends of the house to accommodate the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The plot owned by IBAVI has a rectangular shape with an approximate area of 3,266 m2. The proposed proposal attends to two fundamental aspects, the correct insertion of the building in the urban and physical environment as well as a solution that is a synthesis of the functional aspects of the program. The program proposed by the Balearic Housing Institute (IBAVI) consists of Parking in response to municipal regulations that is located underground and the 54 housing are located distributed by 18 flats by floor on the ground floor and two floors. In the interior space there is a common relationship space for users. The building is organized by a north-south axis that gives rise to the location of two independent volumes, creating a public space between them.

The project is located in Seva, a village in Osona next to the Montseny natural park. The lot, delimited by two streets, is characterized by its triangular shape, good orientation and a lot of slope. The clients asked us for a house in which to live in warm, intimate spaces, open to the garden and with low energy demand. In order to satisfy the demands of the clients, the project is based on two strategies. The first of them is to place the house on the high and flat part of the plot, locating the access to the north and eliminating unnecessary earthworks.

The project is located in a new development area for detached houses very close to the costa daurada, near the Mediterranean Sea. This urbanization has nothing special as it follows the criteria of all recent planning in Catalonia where the primary objective is the economic performance of land exploitation. As a consequence, in order to be able to sell the largest number of plots, the resulting lots are very small compared to the buildability allowed by the regulations.

The AA house is a building thought to be a holiday’s house. It is situated at the end of the center, in a small village in the Baix Empordà region, where the common houses are made of stone and bricks. The site is next to the old road that connects Ullà with l’Escala and Torroella de Montgrí. It is the only access to the plot. This solar has a north-south orientation and it is well affected by the strong winds of Tramuntana.

The order of the project is based on the construction of a single family house in the residential area of La Cerdera, Lleida. In this residential area predominates big surface plots (minimum 2000m2) with a composition of Ground Floor+1. Despite the big dimensions of the constructions, the design of the existing houses doesn't allow them to get profit of the total surface of the garden. The aim of our proposal is to design at the ground floor level a house which permit us to extend over the plot and, at the same time, domesticate the exterior space by a sequence of roofs that are distributed from side to side of the garden.

The object of the reform work was an apartment situated in an old block of flats. It was built in 1900, in the Born district, in Barcelona. Although its antiquity, this story did not show any element of the original construction. It has had different renovations, and one after the other were adding new coats or layers, and so the typical elements of the style of construction at the beginning of the XX century were hidden.

This building has been designed after the request, of two sisters, for a bioclimatic house where to live together and independent at the same time. So the project focuses on these clients’ needs. The building plot enjoys views over the Collserola mount, and it is on a uniform and deep pitch, (30%).
