The kindergarten is embedded in the rural landscape with country longhouses and dominant saddle roofs. The awareness and appreciation of regional and traditional architectural qualities form the basis for this design concept. The rooms for the four kindergarten groups together with their associated functional rooms are located on the upper floor with the pitched roof as a special feature. The gallery offers the children additional play area. The administrative rooms as well as the multi-purpose room are arranged around the central entrance area on the ground floor. A circular path surrounds the building and connects all individual outside play areas.

A surprisingly ephemeral building has been created to satisfy the demands for ro- bustness and adequacy of purpose. The appearance is light, the structure precise and practicable. The new building offers space for all workshops, the vehicle fleet, storage space as well as administrative rooms and staff facilities. Due to the translucent, heat- insulating polycarbonate facade, the reinforced concrete construction is faintly visible from the outside and the workshops bathed in daylight.

The plot for the Dornier Museum is located in the immediate vicinity of the runways at Friedrichshafen‘s regional airport. The aim of the museum is to present the technology of aircraft construction and the history of the Dornier plant, which was founded in 1922. In addition, links to contemporary history are to be established. Among the exhibits are veteran aircrafts some of which can still fly today. The shape of the museum is derived from the di- rect access of the exhibited airplanes to the runways. Translucent, curved facades delimitate the interior space and guide the way to the tarmac. The end faces oriented towards the airport are closed by transparent gates. A box within the large hall offers space for scenographic presentations of different eras.

Situated in an exposed position in Münster close to the Aasee, the office building forms the end of a row of buildings facing the lake. The starting point for the design concept was a provision in the development plan for the top floor of all buildings to be set back. By cre- ating several circular cut-outs, this set-back feature has not been limited to the top floor.
