Of brewing and building, from yesterday into tomorrow – the history of the so-called Gösserhalle in Favoriten, Vienna’s 10th district, is a checkered one. Ever since its construction the industrial building, originally built as a workshop premises by the ÖBB before 1900, then converted into a beer warehouse for the famous Gösser company in the middle of the last century and most recently repurposed as an event venue, has, with its distinctive façade with clinker-clad wide arches defined the character of its urban quarter. This identity-forming brickwork structure was now taken into the future.

Twenty years after the first project for the village of Fließ, the architectural firm AllesWirdGut is completing another municipal gem in the Tyrolean community. The new sports and leisure center represents a successful example of how out-migration - a problem with which many rural communities are struggling - can be successfully counteracted. In addition to a spectacular new clubhouse for the local soccer club, tournament and training grounds with spectator stands, tennis and athletics facilities, and the renovation and expansion of the swimming pool were realized. With an incomparable community effort of more than 15,000 hours of voluntary work, the project was realized.

The landmark silhouette of the new corporate headquarters marks the entrance to the Hohe Brücke business park in Wolfurt, Vorarlberg. Articulated into individual volumes, the complex presents itself, despite its varying building heights and sizes, as a convincing ensemble with a significant presence. With its strong identity and high recognition value, the new building also visually anchors the company at its location in the Rhine valley plain.

A low-rise building of 30 × 40 meters with a central inner courtyard. A gallery around the courtyard provides access to all rooms and is so oversized that it is not only a corridor but also a communal playing area for all kindergarten groups – right-hand driving also goes for Bobby Cars! The courtyard is an extension of the adjoining movement spaces – a fresh-air space – always open.

The compact building block is situated at the upper north area of the plot. The north corner of the mainly 1-storey high kinder- garden rises up into a second floor annex to correspond with the surrounding building heights and to cover the entrance area. Here we can find a parking lot which can also be read as front-yard. This yard extends through the foyer and continues as covered playground towards the main garden.
