A house that is integrated into a densly urbanised slope of a historic Vilnius suburban area dictates a new quality and aesthetics. The structure comes in contrast with it‘s surrounding architecture – wooden wreckage from the beggining of the 20th century and gigantic residential houses of early Lithuanian indepencende years that might remind a small school rather than a residential house. Even so, the house remains cultured, eligible and appropriate while firmly stating the new level of architectural value.

The kiteboarding and windsurfing centre in Svencelė transformed a remote kite spot into a major recreational hub in a single summer season. This container city forms just a small part of the major master plan to convert a 30 ha ex-soviet duck farm on the shores of Lithuania’s Curonian Lagoon into a residential and recreational community. The complex was built from 37 portable containers as a means of testing the planned urban structure and accelerating the future development of the area without enormous investments, critical at a time when the world financial crisis led to a lack of optimism about the ambitious projects that had been proposed.

Coach-house reconstruction of Rietavas manor / AKETURI ARCHITEKTAI

One last building of demolished Rietavas manor - coach house - has been reconstructed to cultural community center to meet today’s needs. It hosts 2 multipurpose halls, local bussines development agency, tourist information center, holds in total 1800 sq.m.
