The new project for the reconstruction of the "Partizani" school provides us with the opportunity to create an identity space in which, through the proposed architectural intervention, we not only aim to restore a variety of educational environments in collaboration with the surrounding environment, but we also hope that this intervention will create a dialogue with both the architectural context and its experience. Located in a dense urban location, where the facility is surrounded by large buildings of up to 13 stories, our proposal entails collaborating with the surrounding neighborhood and integrating the school into the local community. It is critical that the spaces we build, both inside and outdoors, are the most dynamic locations where creativity and healthy relationships are constantly evolving. Given the lack of vegetation in the surrounding region, we believe that the connection with nature is a crucial aspect that not only ties the building to the environment but also influences the increase of greenery in the surrounding area.

Over the past two decades, Albania has actively reshaped its urban identity through contemporary architecture. A national strategy aimed at improving infrastructure, housing, and the international profile of its cities has led to a wave of bold, modern developments - particularly in the capital, Tirana. One of the latest additions to this evolving architectural landscape is Lake Views, a mixed-use development by JA Joubert Architecture. Located on a prominent lakefront site beside Tirana's largest park, the Olympic swimming complex, and the newly developed ring road, the project occupies a key threshold in the expanding urban fabric.

Architecture is more than constructing buildings—it is about creating places where people feel at home, spaces that enrich daily life, and connect with their surroundings. With River Residences, we set out to craft an experience that balances intimacy and openness, structure and freedom, nature and the city. This project was born from a shared vision with Orion Construction, one that prioritises emotion over convention, and well-being over rigid efficiency. It is an invitation to live in a space that feels natural, timeless, and full of life, a place that grows with its residents and becomes part of their stories. River Residences marks the gateway to a new neighbourhood in Tirana, comprising approximately 200 homes with a total construction area of about 25,000 square meters. Part of a broader project, it integrates seamlessly into its designated site, with its square-shaped layout emphasising its strategic position as a connection point between the countryside, the city's infrastructure, and the new neighbourhood.

Architecture is the most complete art form. It is the craft of drawing meaningful lines that, once transformed into walls and openings, reveal the architect's joys, passions, and intentions. It is more than just building structures; it is about creating meaningful places that resonate with life, culture, and nature. We believe that spaces should not only be functional but should evoke emotion, provoke thought, and enhance the well-being of those who inhabit them. Our work challenges the orthodox and infuses design with joy, flair, and a deep understanding of the psychology of space. This philosophy takes shape in this project: the Veterinary Hospital in Tirana. Passion, enthusiasm, and vision have been transformed into a physical space. The hospital's soft, flowing exterior contrasts with the structured logic of the plan, creating a sense of wonder and harmony. What begins as simple, static geometry, rooted in spatial psychology and anthropological principles, unfolds into a dynamic network of curves that turn this space into a true place, full of movement and life. The fluid forms eliminate any atavistic fears of enclosure, creating an open and freeing environment.

The permanent installation Terminal in Tirana is an immersive light sculpture by contemporary artist Karolina Halatek in the public space of Tirana. Karolina Halatek’s project Terminal for Tirana curated by Adela Demetja and implemented by Tirana Art Lab - Center for Contemporary Art has been selected as one of the eight winning artworks by the international jury for the competition “Art in Public Spaces 2022” launched and financed by the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation of Albania. This site-specific installation draws inspiration from the profound recollections of patients experiencing near-death experiences (NDEs), creating thus a space where art, spirituality, and science intersect. Terminal for Tirana offers a contemplative space where visitors can experience a sense of euphoria, peace, and the feeling of transcending physical boundaries.
