Finland's first hybrid football stadium was completed in spring 2024 in the Tammela district of Tampere. The new stadium has been eagerly anticipated in the city. The project, which is a collaborative effort between the City of Tampere, Pohjola Rakennus, and JKMM Architects as part of an alliance, was in design and construction for over a decade. The stadium project covers 13,500 square meters and provides high-quality facilities for both residents' sports activities and top-level football experiences for 8,000 spectators. The stadium meets the main UEFA category 4 requirements, which means it can also be used for example UEFA Europa League and national team matches. Every seating position in the stadium offers an unobstructed view of the entire field. The stadium also accommodates 15,000 people for concerts and other larger events. The stadium is part of a nearly 50,000 square meter hybrid block, complementing the urban structure, which consists of eight interconnected plots, including the football stadium, five residential buildings, a commercial centre, and parking facilities.

The new psychiatric clinic at Tampere University Hospital is designed to create a healing environment supporting patients and staff. This facility, located on the outer edge of the hospital grounds, merges with its natural surroundings to provide a peaceful, private, and therapeutic atmosphere. The project addresses the specific needs of psychiatric care by integrating flexible structures, nature, and cultural elements to enhance healing and staff well-being. The design follows a modular concept featuring three U-shaped ward buildings arranged in a semi-circle, providing 180 beds for various psychiatrical healthcare units such as an emergency unit, psychosis unit, crisis unit, outpatient clinic, somatopsychiatric unit, neuropsychiatry unit, mood unit, neuromodulation unit, substance abuse unit and psy-chosis + forensic psychiatry unit. Each ward block is organized to ensure privacy and security, offering individual patient rooms that maximize daylight and nature views, which are crucial for recovery. The wards are anchored by a centrally located administra-tive and activities building, forming an enclosed courtyard that serves as a safe and tranquil outdoor space for social interaction and recreation. This layout promotes a sense of community while respecting each patient's need for solitude and personal space.

Finnish architect Malin Moisio has designed a wooden shelter, named Kirkkokiven laavu, in the deep forest of Kintulammi hiking and nature reserve area in Tampere, Finland. Kintulammi nature reserve is an outdoor area for hikers with numerous shelters to overnight stays or have a break by the campfire. All the shelters are freely accessible to all and maintained by the City of Tampere. All the structures are made ecological, mostly with wood and recycled materials. Kirkkokiven laavu, the Church Stone Shelter, is located near a large natural boulder the shelter was named after. According to tradition, the boulder has served as a primitive church for local horse shepherds in the 18th century, which gives it its name.
