LR Residence emerges as a contemporary interpretation of tropical colonial architecture, where honest materials prevail and a delicate balance between elegance, sobriety, and architectural warmth is achieved. Designed around an open-air living concept, the architecture establishes a continuous relationship between interior and exterior spaces, creating a relaxed spatial experience that promotes tranquility, well-being, and a constant connection with the lush nature of Costa Rica's Pacific coast.

Concept - At Studio Saxe, our intentional design approach blends architecture with its natural environment. Encountering a sloping sight, we seize the opportunity to mirror the land's contours, crafting a seamless nexus between earth and sky. This harmonious integration positions the built structure as a natural intermediary, enhancing the symbiosis of elemental connections.

Garden House is a prototype for sustainability, it was conceptualized as a personal custom little “farm” It is inspired by the idea that architecture shouldn’t be just walls, windows, and roofs. Garden House is an interactive structure that provides food, electricity, and water while creating a strong relationship with the site and its immediate context.

Designing a house is an experience in immersion and connection. Happy House is the result of a close relationship between the client, the Guanacaste landscape, and a true gem of a site. Located on Finca Panamá, on the outskirts of the town of Tamarindo, the plot of land dominates the valley that is protected by the mountains. The plot is completely oriented toward the valley and a strip of sea, and its position reminds one of the amphitheaters of antiquity; an invitation to the contemplation of time and space on a stage of continuous movement.

Villa Morabeza is a holiday house on the southern extreme of the beach Playa Tamarindo, located in the province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This zone of Costa Rica is part of an area of the country that is one of the aridest, affected by a marked dry season with a duration of a third of the year. The flora and fauna belong to the dry tropical forest and the region generally suffers from occasional droughts and scarcity of water. The house faces the beach and enjoys views of the sea and the mountains in the north, immersed in its gardens and the green areas of the residential area which it belongs to.

This is a house located in the middle of the dry forest of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, a place that used to be a cattle ranch. The work began with the reforestation of the property and selecting the right location of the house: The topography, wind, views and orientation were considered very carefully in that matter.
