Set within an urban context, Antarvan is envisioned as a compact yet layered home that redefines the relationship between the built and the open. "From the very beginning, the design intent was to underline outlook spaces that extend the boundaries of indoor life," states Ar. Jigar Asarawala. The first glimpse of the project is defined by the contemporary composition of the elevation, with a balance of solidity and permeability.

A house is often a portrait of the people who live in it. In many Indian families, the woman of the house spends much of her time looking after others; planning meals, watching over everyone's health, and keeping the household steady. What she rarely has is the chance to sit with her family and share the time she helps create for them. This became clear in our first meeting, and it shaped how the design began to take form.

KAARYASHALA is an architecture firm's workspace, the idea behind which germinated from the aspiration to bring a combination of a homely feeling as well as a studio-oriented environment. The vision behind the design and making of the new workspace was to bring the ideology of sustainable design practice and the two-decade-long journey in the form of a physical manifestation. It was envisioned to have a soulful process from the selection of site and context, space organization, construction material and methodology, and artwork. The design is not about attractive aesthetics, sophisticated furniture, or technical lighting, it's about the idea of moving into a village, about making people believe in the idea of recycling and upcycling; not only material but space and context. In a world governed by ', what meets the eyes', this is our place that 'touches the heart', a feeling that can only be experienced by being in the place.

True to its name Retreat Home by Neogenesis+Studi0261 is a get-away house to escape the frenzied hustle and bustle of city life. A holiday home to a diamond merchant in Surat, this elemental yet contemporary house has been designed to embrace extended families making room for warm interactions as it seamlessly connects the indoor with the outdoor. The idea was to envisage a space where rustic extravagance entwines with comfort, where every detail is meticulously crafted to create lasting memories. In its first appearance, the abode reveals itself as a two-tiered linearly designed structure partly camouflaged in the greens. The house sits there with a picturesque pitched roof, overlooking an abundance of greens waiting to express its narrative.
