The HMZ house is located in the La Loma Country Club in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. It is a two-story building that provides comfort for mom, dad, and four children. Dad works in the construction business and wants to develop a building made entirely of concrete. This was a challenge for our office as we focused on the space and all the unique elements that make it interesting.

The original client request was for the design of a sales showroom for a large-scale urban development that will include a shopping center as well as residential and office towers to be built in several stages. This development has the particularity of being located at the foot of hills with direct views of the emblematic Tangamanga Park.

ICONICO was commissioned for design & construction supervision by Joysonquin, an automobile supplier who is producing wood-made car interiors for the luxury section.

On a 230 m2 lot, with a panoramic view to the east of the city of San Luis Potosí, the CP House emerges, a single-family housing project, whose main objective is to live the house inwards. Open courtyards function as a vestibular area and create space between the different areas of the house, which allows absolute privacy from the street side, a blind facade, which not only respects the privacy of the user but also responds to the orientation of the west. The distribution scheme of the house was generated by two volumes on the sides of the lot, achieving a large central open space, which serves to contain a tree. Due to the topography of the lot and the conditions of easements of the subdivision, it was decided to generate three levels. At street level on the middle floor are the social areas, the main access, access to the garage, living room, dining room and kitchen. These spaces are linked by a central bridge, which connects both volumes.

Each year around two millions of people set out on their pilgrimage through the Mexican county of Jalisco, along the 117 kilometres of the Ruta del Peregrino. The route of their pilgrimage leads them from the city of Ameca, over the mountain Cerro del Obispo until the point of the Espinazo del Diablo and finally into the destination town of Talpa de Allende with the shrine of the Holy Virgin of Talpa.
