Developed for the University of São Paulo, the Biomedical Sciences Research Center of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School arises from the revision of an existing preliminary project that did not meet the demands of scientific research. Based on a new feasibility study, carried out in direct dialogue with the users, the Biselli Katchborian office structured a program aimed at laboratories, study areas, support spaces, and a bioterium with specific operational and control requirements.

On a perimeter of 10 x 14 meters, located in the rural area of Taiaçu, in the interior of São Paulo, a leisure area emerges as a new space for meeting and chatting in the countryside. With two levels of construction, the leisure area occupies the highest part of the land. On the lower floor, the wine cellar and parking lot welcome family and friends.

Casa Beta was born during the 2020 pandemic, the result of a lot of natural inspiration. During this period, people looked for spaces in their own homes to decompress. Any contact with the outside world was the house's most coveted desire. Those who lived in apartments were frantically looking for a way to literally have their feet on the ground, on the land, in the water, with their face in the sun and nature within their minimal reach. Many left their apartments in search of a home with integrated spaces and directly connected to nature.

FE House is located in Ribeirão Preto, inland São Paulo. The idea of the project was to create a house and a refuge at the same time. Based on this idea, the challenge was to design contemporary lines, with sophisticated materials while also capturing the essence of a home. The program was solved on a ground floor and has social areas integrated with leisure spaces. The kitchen and laundry are separate from these areas, but they allow access to the intimate area that has four suites. In addition, the changing room and technical area are isolated from the main floor, having underground access to the side of the pool.

Ribeirão Preto Shared Fuel Base Office / Estúdio Cidade

For this project, we made a new office building for the Ribeirão Preto Shared Fuel Base. The building is developed on two floors. The upper floor has 12 commercial rooms, reception, and bathrooms, and the lower floor, has a living area, technical area, and storage - in addition to a covered area planned for future expansion.

I think flexibility in architecture goes beyond aesthetically functional patterns. The contemporary interior is defined by the mutation capacity of the domestic and in response to such premises, the house is conceived as a holder of multiple overlapping scenarios, which allow the adaptability of use over time to be maximum. An essential house is imagined, in which the service elements are reduced to a minimum in favor of free, open, and flexible spaces. Definitely, the objective is that the house maximizes the opportunities of use so that its inhabitants live as they want and not as the residence imposes.

A space "to be", "to receive", so 'Half House' was the essential. We use natural materials that are characteristic of our projects and integration with the interior and exterior is paramount for us. The boldness came from the entrance tunnel, which as we passed through it and arrived at being wanted to convey a sense of breath, of peace, a disconnection from busy life and at the same time an analogy to time, here and now, to the memories of the kitchen with the noisy water garden at the door and the desire to enjoy this moment: to sit, to eat and to have a good wine!

Brazilian Colorado Brewery, recently inaugurated, in its hometown of Ribeirão Preto (SP), the "Toca do Urso" - a space that simulates a bear cave to receive visitors. Designerd by SuperLimão Studio, this project is the use several vernacular and passive techniques to create a pleasant microclimate ambient in an extremely hot and poorly ventilated region, without enclosing the environment and without depending on active air conditioning techniques.
