The dashed house is located on the flat plane of Cambos, on the west part of Paros Island, surrounded by a typical rigid Cycladic landscape. North winds often blow as strong as 8 and 9 Beaufort in this kite-surfing enthusiasts’ haven. Dashed house, as its name suggests, follows a single main axis of a dashed line that interchanges open and enclosed spaces, creating semi-covered courtyards that are protected from the harsh winds.

Avlakia House rests in-between two gorges (avlákia in Greek) in the Cycladic island of Antiparos, Greece. The site is facing the west directly, while it is also exposed to the northern stronger winds. It enjoys views of 180º towards the Aegean archipelagos and the neighboring islands of Sifnos and Serifos.

As House is situated on a slope on Paros Island. The scheme suggests an agglomeration of ‘’primitive’’ volumes and a reinterpretation of the Cycladic Vernacular Architecture. The dry-stone wall is re- introduced defining a new topography of generous outdoor terraces protected from the high North winds.

The plot is located in LAGGERI PAROS ISLAND. It has a north-facing sea view. The house is located along the south side of the plot, overlooking the beach. The volumes of the houses are lined up to the view and there are protected courtyards as well as courtyards to the sea. Courtyards are adjacent to the living areas next to the natural slope of the ground. The entrances are located on the south side of the plot and at the highest point. A second building complex hosts the guest rooms and is architecturally connected to the main building. The back yard creates a nucleus with direct reference to the living areas and the enclosed "blue" living room - patio.

The house is located at Ageria, on the island of Paros, in the Cyclades. It faces west, towards the sea. The buildings protrude from the natural slope, and they are aligned on a cantilever slab that floats over the land. On their eastern side lays the patio, protected from the northern winds.

APS house is located at the south of Antiparos island, Cyclades, Greece, facing a protected archaeological island, Despotikon and its ancient Apollo sanctuary. The topography is steep, creating a natural protection from the north winds, while still catching the view to the sunset. During the ‘70s, a poor urban plan was juxtaposed on the area, thus transforming it in a rare case study of Cycladic post-rural suburbia.

The purpose of this project was to design two adjacent houses with a view towards the Aegean and the Kolymphithres Bay in the island of Paros (in the Cyclades). The plot extends on an east-west axis. The views are towards the north and it's intense north winds, which persist even during the summertime, and are known as "meltemia". These winds can be ravaging, but equally beneficiary during the hot summer days.

The summer house was designed by VOIS architects in 2012. The name, “H_orizon”, derives from the two basic elements of the design. “H” constitutes the configuration of the building that resembles the shape of the letter, where the main volumes expand symmetrically along the axis SW - SE. “Orizon”, from the aim of the design and the need for the house to remain in continuous connection to the open “orizon”.
