The sports complex is located on the outskirts of the city of Paraná. Particularly in a site where the urban fabric transitions between the dense traditional block layout to the superblocks that regulate the territory. The soccer, tennis, and paddle courts adopt dimensions similar to the city blocks, generating continuity in the reading of the urban fabric, but inverting the spatial relationship.

The project is located in a very consolidated urban sector, on a busy street south of the city of Paraná. Initially, the place was an undeveloped and depopulated area in which a small temple was erected, with a gabled roof and side tower. Then, as the years progressed, the city grew and so did its immediate surroundings. The initial temple became too small for the demand it had to satisfy, and therefore a larger building is built next to it for that purpose. In a third stage, a hall, classrooms and other facilities were built. Faced with such growth, the small initial temple started to house toilets for the whole complex, degrading its symbolism and history.

The Refuge in the Countryside was designed and executed by a modular metallic base of 360cm (width) X 360cm (length) X 250cm (height) with 10cm profiles. Located inside a Farm hotel, this project has three modules that together form the space for a couple to shelter from the weather without losing the privileged view of Campos Gerais do Paraná and Escarpa Devoniana.
