KCAP's design made Sibeliuspark more compact, vibrant, and attractive through the introduction of integrated housing, diverse park programs, and varied topography and planting. Several housing projects in and around the park create a vibrant community, while a variety of new programs reactivate the space for people of all ages and abilities—from local neighbors to visitors from across the city and region. The project features a nature-inclusive, climate-adaptive environment that integrates over 400 new trees, diverse programming for all ages, and integrated housing developments. The Urban Ox Park, featuring a skatepark, pumptrack, and calisthenics park, now serves as the beating heart of the renewed Sibeliuspark.

Pivot Park - Pivot Park in Oss is a campus for open innovation in the field of drug discovery and development serving both start-ups and existing companies. Open innovation seems to be the keyword for the success of Pivot Park. Access to the unique, high-quality R&D facilities and knowledge exchange with the community of other companies from all phases of 'drug development' make the campus a pharmaceutical focal point in The Netherlands. Soon, the Marie Curie building will host more than 350 talents who will be working on new treatments and medicines, mostly in the field of cancer.

Starting point
The client had acquired an existing bungalow from 1971 on a spacious wooded plot in Oss, The Netherlands. The house made of concrete stone, had been altered several times over the years, so the original qualities had completely disappeared. The existing house also offered no special relationship with the garden and was in a poor energetic condition. All this called for a rigorous intervention. The assignment concerned total sustainability to an energy neutral level, a better relationship between the residential program and the garden and the existing swimming pool and last but not least a complete aesthetic metamorphosis of the bungalow.

The wait is over; premiere dates for the highly anticipated film The Competition have been released. The first documentary ever to focus on the tense process of architectural competitions, The Competition captures a fascinating account on how five world renowned architects – Jean Nouvel, Frank Gehry, Dominique Perrault, Zaha Hadid and Norman Foster – “toil, struggle and strategize to beat the competition.” The premise is based on a nearly forgotten, 2008 competition for a new National Museum of Art of Andorra, a small Pyrenees country nestled between Spain and France, which has yet to be realized.
