        <![CDATA[<p>In <a href="/tag/nanchang">Nanchang</a>, a prominent city located along the middle Yangtze and the southern shore of Poyang Lake, a new station has been built – Nanchang East Station. It was designed by von Gerkan, Marg and Partners Architects (gmp), together with China Railway Siyuan Survey and Design Group (T4) and Shanghai United Design Group (UDG). The station is the centerpiece of a new area in eastern Nanchang developed according to TOD (Transit-Oriented Development) principles, which will include office spaces for start-ups, shops, spaces for cultural activities and creative industries as well as residential units.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p><strong>Translucent ceramic vessel of culture</strong><br>The <a href="/tag/nanchang">Nanchang</a> Grand Theatre is a translucent, ceramic-clad new landmark and cultural hub in in the capital of Jiangxi Province, China. The 45,000 m2 culture and arts centre functions as a cultural living room for the rapidly developing Nanchang South New City area, attracting a broad audience with opera and varied theatre and music performances. The design is based on PES-Architects' winning entry in the international design competition in 2021. The project was realised in collaboration with local partners BIAD and ZNF.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>The renovation of Liangshu Art Museum locates in a historical landscape zone of <a href="/tag/nanchang">Nanchang</a>, cohering the Chinese garden and the city. Upon completion, Liangshu Art Museum becomes a public facade of the city, as well as an important context of citizens’ leisure activities. The original building was a tea house of the Bayi Park for years. Although its exterior component suffered different degrees of damages after years of usage and vacancy, you could still easily find its elegant physical temperament from the past.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>The project is located next to the <a name="_Hlk41424460"></a>Elephant Lake Wetland Park, which is representative of the natural landscape of <a href="/tag/nanchang">Nanchang</a>. The Elephant Lake Wetland Park provides a quality natural site base for the project and the overall design was inspired by these natural qualities. The design concept of the architecture is not only to see the wetland as a "view" of the surrounding area, but also to bring its natural qualities into the project, creating a spatial experience where the building and the landscape blending together. The design consists of three natural elements, water, earth and sky, corresponding to three functional areas: the front square, the commercial facilities and the observation tower.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>In the Langqin Bay by the side of Aixi Lake in <a href="/tag/nanchang">Nanchang</a> City, there resides a kindergarten filled with elegant and delicate landscapes and colorful scenery changing through seasons. At the east side of the kindergarten’s main building lobby, there’s a double height indoor space of 100 ㎡, facing south to the yard. Having heard of the Climbing Park of Luofu Mountain, the kindergarten came to unarchitecte, and expressed their wish to create an activity space themed climbing net.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>A defined rectangular massing emphasized by a strong diagrid shading fin system and a unique “Great Window” gives the Jiangxi Greenland Zifeng Tower a striking presence on the <a href="/tag/nanchang">Nanchang</a> skyline. The 258-meter tower, completed in August 2015, is located in the burgeoning Gaoxin business district. It is situated across the Ganjiang River from the Jiangxi Nanchang Greenland Central Plaza, Parcel A project, a sister project composed of twin office towers that was completed in early 2015. Both projects were designed by the same architecture firm and commissioned by the same client.</p>]]>
