NV Plastic Surgery - NV Plastic Surgery is a total design project located in Ulsan that has been carried out from branding to interior design. The hospital consists of two floors; the 8th floor operates reception, counseling, and treatment, and the 9th floor operates as a surgery center. Our first task was to define this plastic surgery. After many thoughts, we came to the question of what plastic surgery is. And our thoughts reached the universe as much.

Designed by studio “designby83," based in Busan, Korea, SSAP offers pastries and coffee and is located next to Ulsan's Grand Park. The client asked us for a vintage and hip space. We tried to convey a space where the history and traces of the original space can coexist. Unlike conventional vintage and hip images, we came up with our own interpretation of the space including sustainability. Despite the passage of time, we thought about the design with hopes that it would last and continue to deepen. In the process of demolishing the interior of the interior space, consisting of exposed rough concrete walls, worn-out floor tiles, cold metal windows and simple glass windows, almost all structural elements were intentionally left intact.

Gathering, building a house, and living there together is like a dream of our life. Be that as it may, we are witnessing more and more houses are built for various purposes over time. Nevertheless, it is too difficult to gather all potential occupants so as for them to build a house by reflecting all opinions and needs of themselves. Particularly, any house where many families gather to live in downtown must be built as a multi-household housing type which is commonly called a “villa” in Korea. These houses often boil down to monotonous buildings by the land size, circumstances, or construction cost. For all that, “Mo-yeo-ga,” (which means a “Gathering House”) is to fulfill the romantic dream of a house in downtown according to the family constitution, lifestyle and budget without excessive construction cost involved.

6k coffee is located in Yanglimdong, Junlado Gwangju, Korea. Yanglimdong, the city where Korean modern culture was flourished, is where the missionaries had impacts on Korean-western architectures. Yanglimdong still has more buildings from modernization including church and Hanoks, the Korean traditional houses, compared to other cities. Asian modernization in architecture showed many differences from Western architectural modernization.

Gwangju Metropolitan City is one with the largest share of apartments among all types of housing compared to other cities. Baegun-dong Housing is located in the detached housing area at Nam-gu(southern part) which is the original downtown of the metropolitan city. And it intended to unfold the possibility as an alternative type of residence in the town that is prevailed with the 30 to 40 years old red brick houses and indiscreetly built one-rooms. This space that has been built as a nest for the wife, a painter, and the husband, an architect, and their child who is just 18 months old, is reflecting the different sense of value toward the life of the couple who declared the voluntary exile from the monotonous residential environment.
