This is a project to comprehensively renovate a wooden apartment complex that has a history of 35 years. Although this apartment complex is located in the city center, unfortunately, due to years of neglect, it has become uninhabitable and no longer contributes to creating a scenic and vibrant atmosphere for the town. While inheriting the history of this land, we planned to transform it into offices and shared residences, providing the city with new ways of living and working.

This is a renovation project for a 44-year-old apartment. The owner is an enthusiast of weaving wooden basket bags. The owner's requests were to have an earthen floor space that could be used as a studio, to enjoy the views of the river and cityscape from the windows, and to optimize the living space compactly.

Nagasawa Coffee is a coffee roaster located in Morioka, a city in the Tohoku region in northeastern Japan. The owners decided to move their shop to a larger space to fit in their new 1960s vintage roaster. Their vision of the new shop was an open workshop space.
