VLP House / Pascali Semerdjian Arquitetos

The trapezoidal shape of the land, located in a vacation condominium near São Paulo, guided the formal decision of the Casa VLP floor plan. The residence features a traditional division between the social block and the intimate block, separated by a central circulation axis that begins at the entrance of the house. This entrance is marked by a wooden pergola, which indicates the path and invites the individual to enter.

Located in Monte Mor, about 100 km from São Paulo and close to Campinas, this country house was designed and built from the ground up by the architectural firm DB Arquitetos, under the authorship of architect David Bastos, who has been serving the family for many years. With 922 m² of constructed area on a 3,177 m² plot, the property was conceived to convey a sense of freedom, integration with nature, and warmth, catering to the requests of a couple in their mid-40s to 50s and their three children.

A young couple with two young daughters, an interest in reading, music and gastronomy, gathered premises for a program with extensive outdoor area and the possibility of receiving friends. Being a summer house, the project sought to offer an experience of contact with nature and greater conviviality among a family that lives in an apartment in São Paulo.
