The 47-story condominium tower is situated at Broad and Spruce streets along the famed Avenue of the Arts, and directly across the street from the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. The scheme aims to create a rich, holistic experience from top to bottom, inside and out, an in the interiors for all residences and amenities.</p>]]>

This year, the top prize was given to the <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/868602/seouls-lotte-world-tower-completes-as-worlds-5th-tallest-building" target="_blank">Lotte World Tower in Seoul, South Korea,</a> designed by <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/office/kohn-pedersen-fox" target="_blank">Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates</a> and <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/office/baum-architects" target="_blank">Baum Architects</a>. The tapered tower, South Korea’s tallest, also houses the world’s highest glass-bottomed observation deck, for architects who can handle the 1820-foot (555-meter) drop.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p dir="ltr">In its annual report, the 2016 <a href="http://www.archdaily.com/790068/ctbuh-names-winners-of-2016-tall-building-awards">Tall Building Year in Review</a>, the <a href="http://www.archdaily.com/tag/ctbuh">Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH)</a> has announced that 2016 saw the completion of a record 128 buildings 200 meters or higher. This number surpasses the previous record of 114 completions set in 2015. Eighteen of these buildings became the tallest in their city, country, or region, and ten earned the designation of <a href="http://www.archdaily.com/780348/the-world-now-has-100-supertall-buildings">supertall</a>, at 300 meters and above.</p>]]>

A new city in the West <a href="http://wp.archdaily.com/tag/changsha/?utm_medium=website&amp;utm_source=archdaily.com" target="_blank">Changsha</a> Pioneer Zone in Hunan Province, Meixi Lake is centered around a 3.85 kilometer‐long lake. Upon completion, the city will be home to 180,000 inhabitants, and will provide residents, workers and visitors sustainable neighborhoods for living, working, recreation, culture and entertainment. Selected by SL Green Realty Corp., the architects’ design would be one of the largest Midtown towers on the East Side in a generation. While building in <a href="http://wp.archdaily.com/tag/new-york/?utm_medium=website&amp;utm_source=archdaily.com" target="_blank">New York</a> is a challenge, SL Green is moving ahead full steam with planning. The company is in discussions with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to obtain additional development rights by building pedestrian improvements including underground connectors to Grand Central, according to executives informed of the planning. The artists’ proceeds from the works sold were donated to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Cancer Research at the University of Michigan. The proceeds from a silent auction of several noteworthy pieces during the opening reception on October 3rd will also be donated to the <a href="http://wp.archdaily.com/tag/hong-kong/?utm_medium=website&amp;utm_source=archdaily.com" target="_blank">Hong Kong</a> Cancer Fund (HKCF).
