Tidsmaskinen (The Time Machine) after-school center is an example of complementary architecture, consisting of three distinct buildings: a villa, a greenhouse and a tower, which together form a cohesive ensemble despite 100-year age difference between them.
The villa, built in 1918 for the school's headmaster, has been joined by a new tower that draws inspiration from the site's existing architectural heritage, yet introduces a new typology to the area.
The garden is based on the headmaster's old garden plan but adds some small hills to the otherwise flat Amager, encouraging the children to play in the garden.

Frame House I is a single-family house situated in the old part of Copenhagen's southern harbor, originally inhabited by the dockworkers. The area is characterized by an ensemble of small-scale buildings; workshops and living units of self-built houses and architectural experiments. The infill-house is tucked in between two existing buildings with three wooden frames spanning in between the neighboring houses. With a critical approach towards sustainability trends, the house is the office's first project to explore the idea of a structural frame system independent of the climate screen, doing so with a reinterpretation of a traditional Danish half-timbered house.

Danske Bank’s new headquarters is the setting for a modern company with more than 140 years of history. The two buildings that make up the HQ promote a simple, non-hierarchical organizational structure with a focus on innovation, cooperation, and accessibility. The two red brick-built structures add to the rich long-standing tradition of brick architecture in Copenhagen and create a visual connection to the classic city blocks that are characteristic of the area. The new headquarters contribute to a more coherent Bernstorffsgade and greatly enhance the experience of arriving into the city from Kalvebod Brygge. The building’s brick exterior opens up, transitioning into a transparent glass facade that invites people in from several sides. Overall, the goal was to create a welcoming and unique experience for customers and visitors to the buildings, as well as a workplace that helps attract and retain talented employees.

A new kind of recipe for designing a bakery. Spacon & X was enlisted by Richard Hart and his team, to expand the ecosystem of HART’s popular bakeries around Copenhagen. They were brought in to create a spatial design with custom-made furniture, lamps, and artwork for their new location in Mærsehuset, on the island of Holmen, in central Copenhagen. A design that reflects the craftsmanship behind HART’s own product. A key aspect when producing the furniture was to ensure that it can be used externally, meaning that it can be incorporated into possible future locations of HART, taking longevity and sustainability into account.

On the last building plot in the prestigious Nordhavn in Copenhagen, Arkitema has designed the eye-catching cinema BIG BIO, which is Denmark's first sustainable cinema. The vision was to create a cultural building that adds something extraordinary to the Århusgade area in Copenhagen's new city district Nordhavn and at the same time contributes to strengthening the special identity that the district already possesses.
