Right at the entrance of the plot, two volumes create a plaza without walls or railings, and the three-meter cantilevered marquee forms the “port cochère,” marking the entrance.

The architects had as a starting point the creation of an environment with a contemporary language, adapting the existing structures for a new proposed use, establishing a respectful dialogue with the heritage, and with the works of art scattered throughout the 25,000 m² complex occupied by the FAMA Museum.

Located in the interior of Sao Paulo, facing a preserved forest, this 1200m² house was created to take advantage of the landscape and the terrain. The La Dinda house was the client's dream, who experienced every stage of the project and construction. It is a single-story house and, therefore, was built slightly below ground level, ensuring privacy and a stunning view. After passing through a facade with a lot of volumes, the resident is already faced with the view of the living room, a beautiful wide landscape, like a painting, and sees above the treetops.

Located in the Condominium Terras de São José, in Itu, São Paulo, the 1100m2 residence received from the owners the affectionate name of "The most beautiful house". The wide sloping terrain protects a portion of native forest. In this way, the project appropriates these characteristics for the definition of the architectural party. Few lines define the reinforced concrete structure. It is this evident structure that makes the volumetry appear to float over the terrain. The pillars are treated as sculptures and receive the slabs that duplicate at the ends of the building.

We wanted to show a brutalist architecture, with natural and apparent materials, without giving up sophistication and comfort. A clean work in terms of work and materials, without the use of superfluous coverings or props.

A special program: a weekend residence for a family in an extensive area, set to become the main home in the medium term, defines the concept adopted for this project. The house is organized by a longitudinal circulation block that defines its settling on the plot: a 3 meters wide by 45 meters long concrete structure working as a beam. This volume, closed to the street and open to the site, houses the service areas and a gently sloped ramp, linking spaces at the mid-levels that accommodate the house to the ground slope.

The premisse given by the clientes was to develop a project with the best cost and benefit relation. However, not giving up a construction with great quality with a contemporary architecture that, at the same time, does not deviate from the other existent houses from the condo, creating a cozy atmosphere. The clients are a young couple with three children. Another thing they asked was to create a house thinking about the children’s conviviality: wide rooms with generous spaces for the children to run and play and with the best view of all the social and external areas so they could keep na eye on them. In function of the requests, restrictions of the condo and limitations of the field with slope, we developed the project.

The lot has 3.200m2, with 60 meters of front, with a difference of 8.00 m from one side to the other. Due to customers' demands, an elderly couple with 4 children, the building would have to be eminently single storey and with all the accessibility standards observed (ramp, elevator, accessibility bars in bathrooms, etc). The main functions of the house - social, leisure and intimate - are distributed in a single prismatic volume that fits subtly to the terrain, without touching directly on the ground, through metallic pillars.
