Prototypes are analogous to embryos in different species: While having initial similarities, they singularly transform and create under the effect of rich impulses of life. The creation and transformation are resulted by different relation forces. Therefore, we cannot lose track of these relationships with the impulses of life, while using prototypes. Otherwise, we repeat a dead body: an object in itself, a "tradition" struggling in an absurd rhetorical war with other symbols.

This Sibe (semi-public urban space) and courtyard (semi-private space) gifted us the "sky" upon stepping outside. Today, however, all those people live in apartments with low ceilings and elevators. Upon stepping out, they see confined spaces and depressing environments.
But where is the "sky"? The mysterious blue umbrella...
In "Paakat," we gifted the "sky" to the Akbari family.

Project Overview: Mohammad, the proprietor of an esteemed export-centric carpet brand, has procured an antiquated domicile situated in the historic, renowned Bagh-e-Goushkhan district of Isfahan, which accommodates numerous carpet weavers. His intention was to bulldoze the whole existing structure and erect a contemporary building dedicated to floating activities: carpet weaving, exhibition, design atelier, and temporary lodgings for distinguished guests. Contemplating the project's parameters, a critical query arose: due to the existence of treasured but dilapidated structures -either abandoned or completely demolished, replaced by multi-stories- can we acquire an adjustment to complete the puzzle by only adding a single novel structure? Could a solution be capable of meeting the client's requisites along with minimizing structural disruption, waste production, and preventing reutilization of new materials?

With the emergence of modern urban life, the historic fabric of Isfahan, like other historical areas in central Iran, has undergone significant transformations. Over the past century, the dominance of cars in cities and the extensive network of streets have fragmented historical neighborhoods, leading to the separation of old houses with central courtyards, making up about 60% of each plot's northern area, drastically altering the city's layout. To the extent that only scattered and isolated remnants of interconnected courtyard houses remain in the city.

Home: This project aims to explore "home" not only as a type of architecture but also as a part of our daily life and identity, which goes beyond any physical location and reflects our relationship with ourselves, others, and the surrounding universe. The concept of "home" in Iran and the world has undergone significant changes over the past few decades, but it can be said that in Iran, the turning point of these changes was in the 1950s. At that time, due to the increase in urban population on the one hand and the increase in oil income and wrong policies of governments on the other hand, "home" turned into a profitable commodity for capital production. This trend became more bureaucratic by the government in the 1970s, and "home" and housing became the most important investment field in Iran.

One could forget that the roof was for “those frightened by rain and the sun.” I always walked barefoot on the roof. What a blessing we lost. Shoes are humanity’s last stand in denying the fall of man, an allegory of the sorrow being away from heaven has left us. There is evil in shoes. They create chaos in the healthy conversation between the earth and our feet. I used to be barefoot most of the time; on the roof, nothing was worth more than the rough layer of thatch under my feet.

The H to V House is located in a high-density urban block in the city of Isfahan-Iran. The project‘s design corresponds to how traditional spatial relationships in a conventional Isfahan House can be transformed into a modern house within an urban block, whilst maintaining the same traditional circulation concerns and essence of space. Isfahan is considered one of the world heritage cities, which houses some of the best Iranian architectural and urban space monuments. The people of this city have coexisted with multi-cultural and religious diversities for many centuries, and because of numerous cultural and religious influences, they have built a very complex and specific behavioral pattern.

The project was defined by its client as a small Villa for their weekend recreation with a swimming pool to be used as water storage and bathing as well. A place where its closed area can be used in winters, whereas in summers, the open parts play the canopy role. The garden’s view was the most remarkable client’s demand during the process of design. The vegetation texture and existing types of trees in the garden led the architects towards preserving the existing texture as much as possible and trying to keep the project to be considered more as a garden rather than a Villa

Building Specifics - The total area of the land for this building is 130 square meters and regarding the building rules of the city it can only occupy 80 sqm of the land to build 4 floors on the ground. There was a problem with the northern neighbor that prevented locating the stair box at the northern side of the land and its location was inevitably only possible on the south-west of the building.

Our lives are surrounded by our dreams; our time passes in the hope of having a future and turns into memories resulting in our days being filled with the joy of past memories and future hopes. The key idea of this project was inspired by the track “High Hopes” by Pink Floyd. On the other hand, the villa’s owner was very fond if the past and would enjoy reviewing the memories of the past. This interest of the contractor in the past reminded me of the track “High Hopes”, and consequently, I started designing.

The worn-out urban texture in Isfahan covers a large part of the city, so does the Takht-e-Follad neighborhood included these houses with traditional designs but without the technical and architectural principles, the former home of the project was also one of these houses and had been bought by my mother for residence together.she lived the traditional home and life experience with all its features, including privacy, courtyards, ponds, and lush gardens, along with climatic techniques, seeking to retain memories of the past while at the same time Modern building with proportionate and costly construction.
