A very small bookstore began by the banks of Nanjing's Qinhuai River. The owner's philosophy is to leave the bookstore to its guests as much as possible, providing a warm place for different people at different times. The shop's staff are four adopted stray cats, and the walls are covered with message postcards. The books in the store initially came from the owner's old collection, and as guests increased, new and used books were donated one after another.

Located at the Central Campus of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), this project addresses the challenge of providing multifunctional spaces for self-directed learning, activities, and communication. The university selected a neglected corner at the easternmost edge of the campus for the site. The site is bordered by boundary walls to the east, south, and north, with a commercial building to the south, residential blocks to the north, and an elevated expressway to the east. An underground tunnel underpass connects the East and Central Campuses beneath the site.

Purchasing at the source - CIFI is one of China’s leading real estate developers. The project in Hefei is already the third sales centre that the Ippolito Fleitz Group has designed for CIFI. It allows prospective buyers to experience the residential complex that is currently under construction. The brand slogan ‘Building for a better life’ addresses a target group that values sustainability, health and life in harmony with nature. All the CIFI sales centres designed by the identity architects have a strong relationship to their natural environment. The sales centre in Hefei is close to the fifth-largest freshwater lake in the country. So this time, the leitmotif is water.
