These numbers vary based on conditions such as the weight of materials, production methods, mobility and quantity considerations, structural limits, and more. Typically, prefabricated materials produced through production lines have specific dimensions, and the dimensions of partitions are determined based on these sizes. Even materials without joints, such as external renders without joints or materials cast or welded, cannot infinitely extend the length or area of materials. In architectural design, the issues of partitioning and joining always arise.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of spaces where we reside has garnered significant attention. The demand for improvements in large office environments accommodating over 200 individuals is as high as the interest focused on personal spaces. Offices centered around efficiency, with desks and chairs squeezed between dense partitions, represent a mundane reality that people no longer wish to encounter. There is a growing trend towards transforming corporate workspaces into welfare-oriented spaces for everyone's well-being, aiming to become part of the living radius of the organization's members.

reworks120 Eyewear Shop / RVMN

Located at the corner of a narrow alleyway in Garosu-gil, Sinsa-dong, "reworks120" sets itself apart as a premium eyewear shop, aiming to differentiate itself from traditional eyewear shops. With its long-established presence, it needed a change in brand image and space. Starting from the essence of the brand, we focused on the question of how consumers could fully experience "reworks120" during their extended stays, concentrating on the unique experiences that only offline road shops can provide.

Traditional barbershops have maintained the stereotype that men should have neat, short hair. And their unchanging belief has become a huge trend of grooming under the name of barbershop". The barbershop, which has already become a symbol of men's self-management, is a space emphasizing masculinity, so the hairstyle and space composition are also masculine. However, as this is an era that values individual expression and inclusiveness, it is certain that many men want a wide range of options to reveal their individuality. The client is an expert who excels at expressing the outside area of traditional frames, and the design team wanted to express the spatial "difference" from the universal men's hair shops in this space.

Oror had its second grand opening at a commercial complex in Seoul, namely 'The Shops at Centerfield'. The ideas for the space were inspired by the unique identity of oror that is reflected in its products - oror is an eyewear boutique shop that has a wide range of eyewear collections - from unique to vintage styles. Inspired by the brand's identity, NBDC sought to create a space where continuous variations of a contemporary and a classic may occur.

Rounge, A Furniture brand that began with an inevitable connection to trees - Nestled on Yangjae-daero, the building stands concealed by a stretch of plane trees. Once inside, vast windows reveal sweeping views of towering plane trees, offering a shifting sequence at each level. Ascending to the rooftop of this five-story structure, plane tree leaves touch the sky and rustle in the wind. Greenery envelops the middle floors, creating an immersion in the leafy expanse. On the second floor, the sturdy tree trunk and branches, and on the first floor, the thick tree trunk and the plants in the earthy soil create shadows as they are lit by the sunlight. This layered sequence of trees naturally leads one to imagine the roots in the soil.

Tchaikovsy’s ballet Swan Lake features a white swan and a black swan, representing good and evil, respectively. Similarly, the movie Black Swan starring Natalie Portman portrays Nina — a protagonist aspiring to transition from a white swan to a perfect black swan — through a synesthesia of desire and anxiety. As such, the white and black swans are not only a matter of simple color contrast but also imply contradictory affect and transformation.

ZIGBANG, which proposes solutions for the future of the real estate and space, removed its headquarters from the pandemic and built a metaverse called SOMA, an online business method. ZIGBANG, which has been operating this online work method, planned SOMA LOUNGE in response to the need for an offline space that can enhance communication and fellowship among employees and a sense of belonging to the company. We planned this place to embrace both public meetings (Meetings) and private meetings (Parties), where you can chat or have a party together as well as work or meetings.

GRANHAND is a fragrance brand that pursues comfort in daily life and studies related scents and products under the motto of "Daily fragrance". Some say the perfumer composes fragrance as a composer builds a note. Deciding which material to choose and how to arrange resembles space design. The first word from GRANHAND was about the material, and the material was wood. Many terms are related to wood, in the language used in perfume. In the space where the wood was planned to be used we researched the wood’s various textures and the method of expression.

Perks, a newly established coffee brand, is located in a complex in Samsung-dong, Seoul. To cater to the area’s high proportion of office workers, Perks was designed with a focus on takeout coffee. First, we decided to make the most of the high ceilings of the space’s existing structure. Once customers enter the café, they can feel a surprising sense of openness that cannot be felt outside. The 3.6m wide interior wall is finished with a vertical grain veneer that multiplies the space’s verticality.

The site of EMK Musical Company is located at the crossroads where Nonhyeonno – one of the major roads in Gangnam, Seoul – and Nambusunhwan-ro intersect with each other. The future benefits, which will accrue from the high rent in Gangnam, especially the high rent on the ground floor, induce conflicts between the program and the desire for the office building space with abundant interior and exterior space (including the exterior space on the ground).
