The Unbearable Lightness of Being is a lightweight architectural installation conceived as both exhibition object and public pavilion, exploring how minimal structures, craft, and movement can create quiet spaces of gathering within Dhaka's dense urban fabric. Rooted in the environmental realities of the delta—marked by water, monsoon cycles, and fragile ground—the project responds to a context where architecture must remain adaptable, porous, and temporally aware. Designed with a dual life, it transitions from gallery artifact to urban canopy, negotiating between representation and use. Within a compact footprint of just 113 square feet, it achieves spatial generosity through lightness, reversibility, and ease of assembly, disassembly, and relocation.

Using an updated and harmonized method for defining urban areas, the report estimates Jakarta's population at nearly 42 million, placing it ahead of Dhaka, which is about 40 million, and Tokyo, 33 million. The Danish capital earned high scores in stability, education, and infrastructure, narrowly surpassing Vienna, which saw a decline in its stability rating following recent security incidents. The average global liveability score for 2025 remains steady at 76.1 out of 100, unchanged from 2024. While year-on-year improvements were recorded in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, these were offset by a continued decline in stability, driven by rising geopolitical tensions, civil unrest, and increased security threats in several regions.

The concept of home evokes within us a deep yearning for familial connection and meaningful interactions. Families in Bangladeshi communities come together over “adda," which is one of their favorite pastimes. The tradition is so deeply rooted in Bengali culture that many residents are oblivious to it as a potential cultural treasure that might one day be lost within their families. Spaces that could offer these experiences and rekindle the family's sense of harmony and unity were in demand.

The project “Maayer Anchol” was an endeavor to design a village home for a family of six brothers which is an extension of their old home built by their mother 35 years back. It was developed in the context of rural setting with a cluster of humble individual tin-roofed cottages. The core challenge of the design was to create a new space which must blend with the surroundings, bringing a sense of completeness complementing the existing built form, upholding its pride and true culture of this home.

Located at a corner plot in Bashundhara Residential Area, the “Kakoli Manor” was designed with the idea of implementing contemporary building techniques & features. With roads on two sides, the site creates an interesting opportunity to flip a typical suburban house condition. The consequences evolved an overall feeling of clarity and composure – a home that enhances the life of the growing family who resides within its walls. The house came up with an introverted form with a solid mass of concrete that stands still and bold from the outside. The vigorous play of light and volume is introduced only when one enters and walks through different spaces inside.

The structure of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Dhaka is located on the main road of a district reserved as the Diplomatic Site. It resides on a plot that neighbors the Embassy of the Republic of Korea on one side, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the other, as well as the Embassies of Canada and the United States of America across the road. The smaller land size in comparison to the neighboring embassies and the intensive content of the requirements program can be considered as one of the challenging aspects of the project process. The program mainly includes the consulate, chancery, ambassador's residence, reception rooms, lodgment, and guest accommodation units. As the size of the land is not suitable for solving the intensive requirements program with a fragmented scheme, the user groups with different circulation relationships, privacy, and security needs are separated from each other and resolved in one focal structure.

The main focus was to design a school for community children of the village which will make them feel homely and inspire them in learning. Keeping this in mind, a joyful and vibrant school is designed to play in outdoor, semi-outdoor, and indoor spaces. This reflects the spatial organization of traditional homesteads of Bangladesh.

Half of the world’s population now lives in cities, according to UN-Habitat’s latest reports. While this number is set to increase to two-thirds by 2050, urban challenges are growing exponentially, making it more crucial than ever, to transform our cities. Annually, the world population review assesses the growth of cities and the number of residents living in metropolitan areas, to understand global evolution trends. In 2022, the list of the top 20 most populated countries remained similar to the 2021 edition, with a slight change in numbers and positions. Tokyo kept its status as the world’s largest city, with 37 million inhabitants, while Delhi and Shanghai, followed in second and third positions.
