Renovation of Anren Liaowei Mansion Anren Tourist Center / Atelier Li Xinggang

The Anren Tourist Center, located on the edge of Anren Ancient Town in southwestern Chengdu, is a renovation and expansion project of the Liao Wei Mansion. Originally a private residence, the Liao Wei Mansion later served as a brewery and farmer's dwelling before falling into disuse. Designated as a Chengdu historical building and protected heritage site in 2018, it has now been transformed into Anren Ancient Town's visitor center and community center. As the historical DNA of this area, the visitor center serves as the genesis of newly constructed neighborhoods, forming a new cluster of Linpan spatial communities. This project stands as a research sample of China's new town development.

Located on the outskirts of Anren Ancient Town, Chengdu, Sichuan, the Anrenli Community is adjacent to the Anren 5A Tourist Center (expanded from the preserved cultural relic building, Liao Wei Residence, from the Republic of China era), the Anren Passenger Station, and the main urban thoroughfare. Covering a land area of 64,265.24㎡, the community boasts a total construction area of 69,873.57㎡ and a floor area ratio of 1.09, serving mixed commercial and residential purposes.

The Sichuan University Museum traces its origins to the Huaxi Union University Antiquities Museum established in 1914, making it not only the first comprehensive university museum in China during the Republican era but also the oldest museum in Southwest China. Situated along the Jinjiang River adjacent to the east gate of Sichuan University's historic campus, the museum responds to the campus' southwest-deflected historical axis. Its design follows the campus grid system, seamlessly blending into the campus fabric while honoring the site's cultural heritage.

CyPARK represents an innovative extension of Chengdu's urban context. It features China's first cycling-themed commercial destination, seamlessly integrated into the vibrancy of the city. The Stage at the Centre of the "Vortex"

The Luhu Ring of Starlight project is located on the island at the centre of Vortex Park, which Z+T Studio designed. The entire park is surrounded by a commercial plot and three residential plots, presenting a unique semi-enclosed layout. Although the location of the Ring of Starlight is at the geographic and visual centre of the park, its connection to the outside world is somewhat isolated due to being surrounded by water. Visitors must traverse forest paths or take a small boat, trekking nearly a thousand meters to reach the island from any direction. As a result, this small island has become the most tranquil corner of the entire park, far from the noise and fast pace of the city, resembling an idyllic paradise.

The biggest environmental resource of "Luxelakes" is water, and the planning creates a meandering shoreline, so that all plots and water are related to the greatest possible extent. In the design of "Tianfu Food Island Phase I", all buildings are distributed along the shoreline, forming a pedestrian main street, and several main commercial volumes are directly adjacent to the water.

JUDO ESPERSSO DOJO is a 26-square-meter community coffee shop located in the old urban area of Chengdu. The space itself is a regular square shop that can be seen everywhere. The shop owner named it "Judo" after director Du Qifeng mentioned in the movie " Throw Down " that "Judo teaches you to fall", and she hopes to have a comfortable and casual atmosphere here, where every guest can feel at home and finds their own personal ways in "Judo".

The project is to renovate the top floor of a house along the Second Ring Road in Chengdu, which is located in a residential area developed in 2004. Entering the new millennium, the real estate market has not yet taken shape, the routine of real estate development has not yet been finalized, and the standardized assembly line model has not yet solidified into a general law. Individual small and medium-sized developers even have idealistic plots, and their products present a rich posture rarely seen in the next 20 years. For example, the "Shanghe City" on the Funan River in Chengdu is one example. Developed in 2003, the multi-story residential complex has the ground floor elevated to leave public space. A small art gallery is also designed in the residential area. The community where this project is located is also a special product of this period.
