The TAC! Urban Architecture Festival is held annually in Spain with the aim of bringing contemporary architecture closer to the public through installations in various cities, including Granada, San Sebastián, Valencia, Vigo, and San Fernando. Organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda in collaboration with Fundación Arquia, the festival seeks to promote experimentation in architecture by constructing temporary pavilions for cultural events and gatherings. The 2025 edition of the festival will take place in two locations: Casa Mediterráneo in Alicante and Plaza Stagno in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The pavilions are selected each year through an open call for young architects up to 45 years old. This year's winners have already been announced: the ESPARTAL project by ELE Arkitektura, GA Estudio, Florencia Galecio, and Juan Gubbins; and DE ROCA MADRE by Alejandro Carrasco Hidalgo, Eduardo Cilleruelo Terán, Alberto Martínez García, and Andrea Molina Cuadro.

This project stems from needs that are as exciting as they are demanding. Manuel is a personal trainer who was looking to build his business and home from scratch. The two uses should coexist on a small corner lot in a low-density single-family housing area. On the one hand, the building had to stand out from its surroundings in order to reinforce the purpose of the new company, but on the other, and above all, it had to be affordable to be viable.

The renovation of the offices of this SME dedicated to the sale of agricultural products represents a significant change in its work environment. The need to update the facilities arose as a response to the evolving demands of a changing work world and the ambition to align the company's image with its growth strategy. The existing building had an inefficient layout and an overall outdated appearance. A dark central corridor served as access to a series of offices of varying sizes, creating a fragmented atmosphere and a perception of an opaque organization. The lack of connection between the multiple rooms hindered collaboration, communication among employees, and the welcoming of visitors.

Booom City is a playful technological installation combining the Mediterranean popular stakes [Hogueras](ephemeral urban monument burned in the summer equinox night) built with traditional construction techniques with the use of new technologies to offer an expanded experience of the city through the use of an Augmented Reality App and the Smartphone. The installation reconstructs fragments of disappeared cinemas, spas, and ballrooms to be enjoyed again by the citizens, who can rediscover and interact with those places in a virtual way.

The construction, which is designed for the city and to create a new meeting and communication space in the area, has been completed with input from multiple companies and institutions and refers to the old name of the space linking it to the place, nature and its current use. It is literally an insect perched on a garden. "We made an adjustment to the space in which we live. An insect adapted to the environment, a project conceived and designed specifically for Las Cigarrreras, which is not a space to use. It was not about making a normal cafe, but an exceptional work that would link with the surrounding cultural environment", says Paul Belda, project architect.
