A “place” to receive experiences - This is a plan to rebuild a villa for 14 people in four families. The owner's family had owned a villa in this area for many years and had vast experience. The site is in a vast forest of chestnut, fir, and dogwood trees, and the neighboring houses cannot be seen. In the summer, they cooled watermelons in the stream at the bottom of the valley, and in the fall, they went out into the forest to pick chestnuts and the way the owners spent their time was to learn from what they saw.

The private house for the family of four which is located in residential area in Japan. We create a generous outline by erecting a translucent polycarbonate enclosure along the property to separate it from the surrounding areas and making it float in the air. The floating enclose creates separation, but since it floats, the house itself is still connected to the surrounding environment.

The site is located in the corner of a residential complex on a hillside in Hiroshima City and is a subdivision of an old residential land that was sold in two parts, north and south. It was once called Tsukimiyama. It is said that the warlord Taira no Kiyomori used to hold moon-viewing parties there. The mountains of the past are no longer visible, but Kaita Bay and the mountains in the distance remain unchanged. I wanted to create a home that would be like a terrain, where I could feel the environment close at hand and yet develop it to suit my own lifestyle.

The site is located between the national road and a village with fields, and there is a big gap between the traffic on the west side, where the flow of time is fast, and the open landscape with the Honami River and fields. There is also a forest created by a shrine and Mt. At a distance from the site, there are the remains of the foundations of a windlass from the coal mining era, chimneys and brick walls that have survived over the years, and an impressive landscape that includes the remnants of an inn town.
