Xingu House emerges from a careful reading of the site: a terrain composed of natural plateaus, stone walls, and preserved patches of forest. From this irregular geography, the project seeks to understand how architecture could lean on the terrain, open itself to the landscape and build a continuous relationship between the body of the house and the mountain.

Located in Lagoa Santa, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, Casa Tangram sits on a gently sloping plot by the edge of a lake. The house is positioned at the highest point of the lot, so from the street, it appears as a discreet horizontal line, almost blending with the horizon. Walls, slopes, and the built volume itself form a visual barrier to the outside. Upon entering, one quickly realizes that the street disappears: from inside the house, only trees, the lawn, and water are visible.

Its intensely sloping topography was decisive for creating the building’s implantation, defining the distribution of environments on three different levels so that the house would better accommodate the terrain.

The 7 Patios House is located in a private condominium in Nova Lima/MG. The site has a slight slope, no vegetation, and is located close to the condominium limits. Right outside this limit is a highway. The noise from cars can be heard from inside the land. Right in front of the land, across the highway, a factory can be seen, so the best views are looking diagonally. From both sides, it is possible to see the forest and the mountains, typical of Minas Gerais.

With practically a flat topography, the land has several mastic trees - which in the winter lose their leaves and, in the summer, keep their green crowns - and has borders, on one side, with an environmental protection area that has an extensive native forest.

The Walkway House is divided into three blocks spread across the land, só as not to interfere with the forest and preserve the topography. The blocks are interconnected by wooden decks. The upper deck emerges from the back, crosses the house, and becomes a walkway nine meters from the ground to integrate with the tree tops.

Juris Correspondente's head office in Belo Horizonte is located on top of an old building in the central area of Belo Horizonte and has a spectacular 360 degree view of the city. From the top of this building, its privileged position allows seeing several important points of the city, such as the Serra do Curral, the Municipal Park, the City Center with its blind gables graffiti, the Santa Tereza neighborhood, as well as emblematic postmodern buildings.

This house, set on a steep slope covered with typical Brazilian savanna vegetation, is located in front of a preserved area facing mountain views. Its location strategy, longitudinal to the terrain’s contour lines, is defined by the extensive cover concrete slab, which is fluidly inserted according to the specific needs of the program and the terrain. At first, the concrete slab appears as a light component, which rests on only two pillars. It has the function of marking the main access and the garage, as well as framing the panorama that walks between the spectacular view of the mountains and the limit of the densely populated area of Belo Horizonte.
