A site of 10,000 m2 surrounded by long-lived pines, abundant nature, and a flowing river that crosses through the middle of it. The project consists of the distribution of 6 country houses that coexist with no greater division than the vegetation and topography that surrounds them. The land located in the Avándaro area has two clear fronts and roads, featuring very rugged topographies and, in other cases, more consistent ones, as well as very diverse visits between each one.

What we found on the site was a publicly fractured urban and social space, with a very rich program established by the PMU led by SEDATU, which began the unification and integration. Among the pre-existing elements related to the cultural character of the site, there was a public market completely affected by the earthquake of 2017, a church of high heritage value with a strong sense of belonging and beauty that has recently been restored, both prominently featuring brick and clay in ochre tones.

From Aunar comes this concept, a space designed to gather, connect, enjoy, and live memorable moments. The collaboration and empathy between architecture and gastronomy were born intangible from its conception, marking common values; the countryside, honesty, humility, and simplicity of the raw materials, the craftsmanship, and the warmth of home. Local integration and global coherence propose the luxury of its spatial quality and the atmosphere it offers. A space that is free of pretensions and unnecessary ornaments and coatings. The project was a collaboration of architects, designers, landscapers, illuminators, artists, artisans, cooks, ceramists, and photographers, all of Mexican origin.

Immersed in an industrial plant dedicated to the production of cardboard.
A pavilion was projected with the task of generating spaces for collaboration, design, meeting points, meetings, and presentations.

The locality is the result of living and interacting with a group of people in the same territory, becoming the premises of that space. Our focus was set as an exercise for Mexico City, inspired by the millions of people who move from different places to other destinations, through the most inclusive and fastest-flowing means of transportation in the country, and where a group of people unknown lives for a few minutes every day.
