Grandparents' House / Stanaćev Granados

A retired German couple commissioned us to design a house where they could spend several months each year, close to their grandchildren and able to enjoy family life at a slower pace. They wanted the house to be economical to build, comfortable, and full of light, while also functioning well as a vacation rental during the periods when they would not be in residence.

Primeriza House / Stanaćev Granados

Primeriza House is located on a small clearing of an otherwise heavily sloped terrain with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean to the front and a strong backdrop of almost vertical slope densely populated by cypress trees. Our clients wanted to make the most of outdoor living, and one of their key requirements was to create many opportunities to inhabit the exterior. Another was to create various different environments, nooks and crannies, and moods inside the house. These two, combined with the plot and weather conditions, shaped the volume of the house and its many transitional spaces.

Galeo Pavilion / Stanaćev Granados

The project, known as the Galeo Pavilion, was commissioned by a client seeking a separate lodging unit on their coastal property in Chorrillos, central Chile, intended primarily for adolescents and their guests, while remaining near the family's main holiday residence. The client's brief was exceptionally direct, requiring an 8 by 8-meter freestanding pavilion on an already prepared clearing, with earthworks completed and construction slated to start within one month.

Kuvo House / Stanaćev Granados

In 2021, we were commissioned to design a small house located in Matanzas, a coastal town in Chile known for its excellent conditions for water sports. The client requested a 70 m2 house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, designed for a young audience, that had to be cost-effective to build and preferably developed on two levels to have sea views.

Morla House / Stanaćev Granados

La Casa Morla is the result of a project located in Matanzas (Chile), a small coastal town famous for its conditions for water sports. As it is a rental house, we had to optimize the surfaces to the maximum and think of it from an architectural language that would allow us to work with a tight budget knowing that it would be executed with non-specialized local labor.
