The intervention in the Santa Clotilde Gardens introduces a small open-air theatre within one of Catalonia's most emblematic historic landscapes. Designed by scob, the project is conceived in continuity with the noucentista principles that define the garden—order, clarity and a deep relationship with the landscape—engaging carefully with its context and extending rather than transforming the existing spatial logic.

The remodelling of the old city centre of Ódena is based on establishing a new structure that organises and defines its public space based on simplicity and formal clarity. The project involves extending a uniform stone paving throughout the included area, in which vehicles and pedestrians can coexist, giving priority however to the latter. A change of paradigm. From road crossing to meeting point. Prior to its remodeling, Ódena’s Plaza Mayor was not in fact a square but simply the center point space where the six main streets that cut across the old city center intersected and converged.

The intervention area is located within the Trinitat road junction, next to the Besòs River in Sant Andreu district, in Barcelona. The site is strongly marked by the infrastructures that surround and cross it, at different levels and with different directions. It has a complicated accessibility and this has turned the place into an unknown spot for the neighbors. Mostly, it’s the underground users who to walk through it in order to reach the station access, located precisely in this spot. It had the condition of a residual place. A place that neighbors perceived as an insecure abandoned place, submitted to the speed and scale of the motorway traffic.
