When we first saw the plot of land located in a condominium near Salvador, the first thing we admired was the presence of several large almond trees scattered throughout the area. Despite the neighbors' advice to cut them down due to the large amount of leaves that fall from them, our premise, along with that of the clients - a couple with one child - was to try to preserve the existing vegetation as much as possible.

Between one stage and another, the owners moved from Brazil, the two children became grew up and the house was almost sold.

Created to host a technology and social media startup called ChatPay, the project preserved and highlighted the two main original features of the space: its concrete structure with ribbed slab and the beautiful view to which the three large windows open. For this, the closed spaces that the program demanded - three meeting rooms, a telephone booth and bathrooms, were located opposite to the large windows. The main meeting room (A) approaches the view and enjoys it, without, however, segmenting or dividing the existing window. The air conditioning, lighting and fire facilities were organized and distributed to be apparent in the open areas.

Situated in the neighborhood of Morro do Chapéu on the outskirts of Belo Horizonte city, the project of Casa Viga started in a peculiar way, since there was already part of a concrete structure (foundation, floor slabs, and pillars) executed on the site. The clients no longer wanted to continue with the original project of that previous structure, although they wish to preserve it in order to minimize construction costs. Considering this, a new project was developed in association with the preexisting structure.
