This is a newly opened boutique hotel in Chengdu China. The project aimed at developing a new mode of business hotel that cross-over hospitality and art-related business to cater the expanding local market of art exhibition and auction. Inspired by the hotel name ‘Skytel’, an abstracted interior landscapeof sky, mountain and earth was created to provide multiple functions of hotel and art gallery.

Izakaya Singer is a Japanese restaurant situated at the newly-opened food & entertainment hub “OCT Bay” in Shenzhen, China. A main scene of “Dining Room” was created to give a “home” feeling and move the traditional izakaya’s dining experience to a new level of trendiness. This is a spatial design for a Karaoke club located at the newly opened food & entertainment hub “OCT Bay” in Shenzhen, China. Karaoke or KTV, originated from Japan in 1980’s, is now a dominant form of entertainment in China. However, possibility of redefining the experience of “karaoke singing” is not fully explored. The design strategy of “Music & Art Jamming” is adopted to create new values for this new entertainment establishment by bringing Music & Art activities together.
