Set within a densely wooded landscape, the new building at Collège Cardinal Mercier continues the legacy of a site with a strong character. The campus is composed of distinct pavilions whose shared identity relies on a deliberately limited palette of materials. This visual coherence creates a link between the different buildings while preserving their autonomy. Inspired by these qualities, the design aims to extend the spirit of the place without replicating it. Far from any pastiche, the building asserts a resolutely contemporary language, anchored in one of today's major challenges: sustainability.

The owners wanted to settle in a green and quiet setting on the outskirts of the capital. As their children grow up, they need more autonomy, while still retaining a foothold in the family cocoon... The idea is to create a 'nest' where intimacy is preserved, where each can live independently and in harmony with the other... A reflection on the family, its connections, its sharing and its need for intimacy...

The quality of the site is due to its location in the heart of a planted island. The buildings of the establishment are pavilions between which users can move freely. The poetry of this place is enhanced by beautiful trees that form axes or points of interest. However, the transition between the layout in the heart of the block and the street is currently poorly resolved. This project constitutes a solution that reconciles the opening to the heart of the school with the definition of a boundary on the street. The administrative building and the annexed premises are also an opportunity to offer a new image of the Athénée Royal Jules Destrée and to make the site safer.

With a surface area of approximately 10,000 m², the complex, located on a plot of land along the National Road 5, is divided into two buildings set at right angles to the national road, thus delimiting a space for receiving the public while maintaining a visual breakthrough towards the agricultural landscape in the background. The unitary architecture, the volumetry, the materials, and the proposed colours highlight the landscape which, thanks to the planted layout of the central space, seems to have been drawn right up to the main road.

After having lived at the rhythm of the capital, this young couple set their sights on a quiet neighbourhood with trees in the heart of the Belgian countryside. A narrow, quiet street, a long, gently sloping plot of land, tall trees as a backdrop, the Daguets house simply follows the relief and opens up to the nearby grove... for an optimal connection with the garden and the surrounding nature...

One of the main challenges of the project was to propose a frank contemporary architecture taking advantage of the site, its significant natural relief, and the beautiful orientation located on the street side while respecting the prescriptions of the subdivision permit. The house is set back from the street, parallel to it. This withdrawal, about forty meters, allows us to take advantage of the south-west orientation of the main facade and to preserve the maximum trees and vegetation in the receding area. This implantation also makes it possible to establish a coherent link with the neighbouring villas and to promote the integration of the building in its environment.
