Set within an urban context, Antarvan is envisioned as a compact yet layered home that redefines the relationship between the built and the open. "From the very beginning, the design intent was to underline outlook spaces that extend the boundaries of indoor life," states Ar. Jigar Asarawala. The first glimpse of the project is defined by the contemporary composition of the elevation, with a balance of solidity and permeability.

True to its name Retreat Home by Neogenesis+Studi0261 is a get-away house to escape the frenzied hustle and bustle of city life. A holiday home to a diamond merchant in Surat, this elemental yet contemporary house has been designed to embrace extended families making room for warm interactions as it seamlessly connects the indoor with the outdoor. The idea was to envisage a space where rustic extravagance entwines with comfort, where every detail is meticulously crafted to create lasting memories. In its first appearance, the abode reveals itself as a two-tiered linearly designed structure partly camouflaged in the greens. The house sits there with a picturesque pitched roof, overlooking an abundance of greens waiting to express its narrative.

The White/ Bleached House by Neogenesis+Studi0261 is a delightful residence in the Parvat Patiya Area of Surat, nestled in a dense locality and surrounded by rugged, hilly terrain. A 3400 sq. ft. condensed residence for a family of 5, the designers coined the name to the home from the first visual perception one might have of it. The dispersion of ample light into all parts of the house brightens up the interiors to be consistently bright as the exteriors, brewing up both the experiences that these spaces bring.

Standing among the open fields on the outskirts of Surat, ‘Jungalow 2’, as they call it, is an outcome of the designer’s sensitivity towards nature and sustainability. The designer’s earlier project, ‘Jungalow’ has a generous amount of plantation incorporated throughout the building, lending it a verdant feel despite the project's urban setting. Their same instinct to connect spaces more closely to nature is what made ‘Jungalow 2’.

A Masjid, usually a quintessential Islamic building, is a “place of prostration”, which means ‘kneeling’. Islamic architecture is not regional. Over the years, most of the pre-Islamic vernacular forms and characteristics have gradually become an eclectic mix of the elements and characteristics of areas where Islam had spread. Unlike historical monumental mosques, contemporary mosques are designed to exhibit these transformed forms establishing a unique identity of their own; ‘Masjid-e-Zubaida’ being one such example.

Context of the house resemble a very rural set up, sharing a common wall with cow shed, an open ground for pasture on other side and opposite side being old traditional houses. Head of the family being Sarpanch (head) of the village gave a very brief requirement how the structure should stand out from the surrounding as well as privacy of the house should be maintained.
