The transformation of this house, in a thirteen-storey tower in a residential neighborhood in Madrid, has been a fundamental challenge: how to generate a fl uid space while integrating all the pipes and vertical structures that exist in a building of this type without losing height of ceilings and enhancing the generous natural light of its perimeter.

Victor and Raquel needed their new house to become a large and flexible home with light and fluid space as protagonists. In the integral refurbishment of this house, located in a neighbourhood of Madrid, two strategies have been combined to generate a fluid and flexible space: the creation of a central service core and the separation of the house into two areas, a public and a private one.

The transformation of this house in the center of Madrid is based on a radical premise: concentrate all the fixed elements of the house (kitchen, bathroom, storage ...) in a central server core, liberating the perimeter to create a flexible and fluid living space.
