The cabin on the banks of the Sázava River replaces its predecessor on the same site. After the original cabin burned down, only the stone plinth remained, which the new structure naturally incorporates. It provides protection from flooding and offers a sense of perspective — over the river and perhaps over everyday haste.

On the slope above the Krkonoše village of Strážné, a timber log cottage once stood. It was swallowed by the era of mass recreation, along with respect for ownership, craftsmanship, people, objects, and nature. The original house was concealed beneath layers of alterations, extensions, and makeshift additions, poor repairs, and artificial panel cladding. Unfortunately, almost nothing of the original cottage remained worth saving. The small amount of preserved original structures was, for the most part, in poor technical condition. Rather than merely preserving its material substance, the aim therefore became to rediscover the spirit of the house.

Through a complete reconstruction, the dilapidated former open-air cinema with a huge capacity of 800 seats, was transformed into a functioning complex with a more sustainable capacity of 350. The shrinking of the grounds also allowed the creation of much-needed buffer areas between residential buildings and the cinema grounds, with the implementation of acoustic measures, and lastly the creation of a new connection between the surrounding residential complex and the nearby town center via Štěpánka’s Park.

The unique atmosphere of Zámecká street in the centre of Mikulov is created by its small sized buildings, views of the rooftops of historic houses and the wide horizon that opens to show the Austrian landscape in addition to the dominating mass of Mikulov chateau behind one’s back and, last but not least, by the history of the Jewish Quarter in the centre of which the street is located. The explicit intent of the architect manifested itself in his efforts to preserve privacy in the busy touristic surroundings while respecting the historic character of Mikulov centre and making an inconspicuous but clear distinction between the house and the surrounding historic buildings at the same time.

This small bar in the centre of Prague offers especially tea and wine but also delicious coffee. Separately or in various even astonishing combinations. The space concept of travelling through time zones has been derived from its name „Jetlag“. Within this meaning one can “fly through” the entire world only along the whole length of the bar (15 metres).
