Lotus Clubhouse was conceived as a living organism that breathes in harmony with the terrain and surrounding natural environment. Rather than standing as an isolated architectural object, the building appears to emerge from the ground itself, shaped by natural slopes, layers of vegetation, and its orientation toward the lake. From the earliest design stages, the project was defined as a continuous dialogue between architecture, landscape, and local context. As a result, the boundaries between built form and nature gradually dissolve, allowing the clubhouse to exist simultaneously as architecture and landscape, a place of shelter for people and an extended habitat for nature.

The land area has no view of the seaside. From that disadvantage of Wyndham Garden Phu Quoc, we decided to design garden villas with large courtyards inside Vietnamese traditional houses. While designing the master plan, we planned the villas close to each other as the traditional villages in Vietnam. With images of bamboo pathways, the traffic roads inside the project have been designed in small sizes and winding shapes as countryside alleys in Vietnam to help people feel acquainted.

This is a townhouse located in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province for a family of four. Right from the start, we approached the project with a limited budget and the basic demands required for a young family's life. These inputs set the direction to approach architecture practically, mannerless, and highly proactive. Another interesting thing is that the project was designed and built during the isolation of the Covid epidemic, so we had to come up with a design direction that could be communicated and managed remotely with the local construction team.

From MIA Design Studio’s perspective, Louvers house is not only a living shelter but also reflects our client’s living style. Our client wanted to make a great combination of spaces to keep traditional communication between generations of a traditional Vietnamese family. That is how we simply started designing a house with a big void in the middle as a bridge to connect all the spirits of the house. This void with water scape and skylight creates a natural connection between bedrooms, living room, Spa, Gym and even the parking area. This principle has an ingenious use of natural ventilation to keep the building cool and give the family refreshing experience. With local plants and overflow water, the void inside this house becomes a healing environment as the living soul of the house.

There are reoccurring impressions on the spatial quality – the green of nature struck the eyes every early morning, the rustling of leaves each night. These sensations are brought to the coastal city of Vung Tau through a refreshing concept, a welcoming home for a family of 4 who love the freshness of nature. With constant interactions with nature, man and trees become more intimate; space is opened up but maintains privacy of individuals. This is the daunting problem of living in metropolitan area with cramped space and pollution.
