SPACE as EDUCATOR: THE ROLE OF THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT IN PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE - Vila Ninho School is a non-profit social initiative located in the Rio das Velhas River Basin, in the Cerrado region of Minas Gerais, within protected environmental areas. Its goal is to offer free, quality education to children in situations of social vulnerability, promoting family strengthening and community development. Founded in 2017, the school operates based on four pillars: educating children, strengthening families, transforming communities and multiplying efficient organizations.

Architecture and Landscape - This chapel, commissioned as a private space for prayer on a rural estate near the city of Tiradentes, Minas Gerais, seeks to establish a profound yet subtle relationship between architecture and the surrounding landscape. Water, exposed concrete, quartzite, and wood define both the building and its furnishings.

The pavilion for Yayoi Kusama will house two installations from the artist at Inhotim: I am here but nothing and Aftermath of obliteration of eternity, known for attracting a great quantity of people, that inevitably form long waiting lines. That way, the architectural design should respond not only to the sheltering of the art works, but also to the creation of a protected space for the wait and to the preparation of the public to the unique experience offered by the art.

Casa das Minas is a residential house located in the district of Caieras, near Ouro Preto, a historical city of the 18th century, listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO. Immersed in a densely wooded region, the house resembles a refuge in the forest, although it was built as a permanent residence.

Designed and built over just three months, the “Bar-Pool-Gallery” was planned for the Casa Cor MG 2014 as a kind of a hilltop belvedere. The site is located in the central area of a private weekend retreat development, a series of bungalows with hotel infrastructure scattered on a sloping mountain overlooking the stunning valleys of Nova Lima, 12 km away from the city of Belo Horizonte.

The building designed to house a new café for the Museum and the Public Archives of Minas Gerais starts with the judicious use of the free space between the two buildings which are important architectural examples built by the Building Committee of the new capital at the end of the 19th century. The complex's initial purpose was to house the Senate and the Finance Minister's residence.
