Just a short ride from Copenhagen City Hall Square, Amager Nature Park, a 35 km2 landscape park offers protected nature, open spaces, and an unhindered stretch of coastline. Completed over the past year, LYTT Architecture and ADEPT have rethought the park’s identity, including the completion of a series of visitor points that stage the overall experience of landscape, water, and biodiversity.

LIFE Campus is a visionary learning centre set to evoke the interest of children in the natural sciences. A sensuous high-tech universe that educates and inspires, where children can visit the moon before lunch and the core of an atom in the afternoon. From the inside out, LIFE Campus is learning. Located on old hunting grounds at Copenhagen’s outskirts, it manifests an interplay between nature and science with a STEM-inspired design (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics). Visitors are greeted by ninety-six raw oak columns that reference DNA and Fibonacci – each stands nine metres tall and weighs over a tonnes. Inside is a digital learning environment with high-tech labs, a 360-degree projection hall and modern workspaces.

The curved shapes of a 1936 modernist building have been extended in height in a new addition. The transformation clarifies the crescent in the street of the former factory building. The old building has been designated with a high conservation value from the conservation authorities. The task of adding the new extension has therefore included great care for the existing architecture.

The new ‘Mercantec - Midtbyens Gymnasium’ emphasizes the city's ambitious visions for urban development. Here, 1,200 students and 130 employees unfold and thrive in innovative and inspiring settings that support learning, development, and social life within the building and the surrounding urban environment. The project completes the overall urban development project that Cubo Arkitekter has been part of, which also includes 2 bridges along The Ancient Road ‘Hærvejsbroen’,. The Ancient Road runs from Northern Germany to the very top of Denmark. The bridges are the city's new central connection, that connects the city center to the new urban development area, 'Viborg Baneby'.

Krøyers Plads is a five-story housing project with a significant location in the centre of the Copenhagen harbour area designed by Danish architects Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects and COBE. The award-winning and Nordic Eco-labelled project is now finished. The project is based on a hyper-democratic and contextual approach where folded roofs and architectural heaviness create a dialogue between old and new, and a modern, empathetic interpretation of the architectural uniqueness of the old Copenhagen warehouses.
