Focal Point- In the middle of lush pine forest. The Lakehouse, which was designed by Lukie Widya with his design firm: LUWIST, applies a modern-contemporary architectural style that blends harmoniously with the natural surroundings. The mass of the main building consists of three floors and is covered with exposed terracotta brick material which becomes the focal point as an interpretation of the furnace: a warm media when the cold air matches the Bogor climate itself. With steel construction, the shape of the building is stretched to create a space experience - united with the existing atmosphere, to create an embracing gesture with the forest.

Gemala House is located in the additional part of Bandung city, where daily life continues in a typical urban structure. There are 3 volumes on the site each accommodating different requirements. These volumes are independent from one another, and scattered across the site, creating a series of connected individual gardens, open and surroundings.

Composed of multiple casual functions – this microcosm of student life is unified under the ground like stairs structure which soars outwards to embrace its newly-interconnected neighbours. Each function is expressed as a self-contained volume with its own unique spatial character. These volumes are lifted, twisted, pushed in and out of the façade, the resulting voids and spaces in-between form the buildings navigable corridor-less public landscape.
